Life has been full of excitement since I last blogged. I have been meeting a lot of new family members and doing a lot of traveling. Oh, and I have been watching hockey with Daddy!
Mommy and I have been spending a lot of time together. On Tuesday, we went to a doggy park where I met a lot of famous dogs. The dogs aren't actually famous, but we learned that a lot of their Daddy's played for the Blackhawks! Daddy is a huge fan, and Mommy says it's a sign that we ended up at that dog park.
Aunt Adena and Uncle Darryl flew all the way from California to visit us. As usual, this meant I spent a lot of time at home by myself. But when everybody was home, I enjoyed getting to know my Aunt and Uncle! Even though they left after a few days, I know that I will be seeing them again in December when we go to California.
Then it was time for my first trip! We packed all of our things to drive to Missouri for Thanksgiving. I'm not sure why I decided to sit in the crate for this picture since we never actually used it during the trip.
Daddy told me I would have to sit in the backseat during our trip. Being the good boy that I am, I did what Daddy asked just long enough for Mommy to take a picture. Then it was off to the front seat with Mommy..
Look at the my new shirt! Daddy actually let Mommy buy this one! They played an awesome game that day. I am pretty sure it is because I wore my jersey. Go Blackhawks!
Thirteen hours later, we made it to Missouri! We stopped along the way for potty breaks, but I held it the entire way! Maybe it was the cold or even the unfamiliar areas I was expected to potty in, but I had no desire to go! I should mention that even though I didn't have to potty, I did throw up once in the car. Dogs get car sick too, you know.
The next day, I met Daddy's Grandma Karen (My great grandma, I guess?) and her two dogs, Rusty and Jack. Jack didn't seem to like me, but eventually we were able to chase each other and play. Daddy left me out in their area for awhile, but luckily Mommy came to rescue me.
After being chased by Rusty and Jack, I was exhausted. I found a comfortable spot on Great Grandma Karen's rug and took a nap. And I should also mention that Mommy never gave me any turkey. Boo hoo, Mommy!
After Mommy and Daddy ate dinner, we went out to explore. The weirdest thing was walking on the street! Usually, I am never allowed to do that! Apparently, it's allowed in Missouri. It was really cold, and luckily we didn't stay out very long!
During my time at Great Grandma Karen's house, I found a great place to relax. Not only was this chair comfortable, but it allowed me to watch the birds outside the window! I have already put in a request with Mommy for one of these at home. Maybe I'll get one for Christmas? Daddy and I sat on this chair most of the day, and we took some awesome naps together.
Missouri was much different than Chicago. I had tons of places to play! It was very hard for Mommy and Daddy to get me in the car when it was time to leave. I really enjoyed being a country pug for a few days.
This was not my idea. And it obviously has Mommy written all over it.
The drive home was much shorter. It only took 8 hours! How did I survive the long drive? Lots and lots of naps!
I made sure to explore my surroundings when I wasn't napping..
...then it was back to nap time! Who knew being a traveling pug was so hard?
Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving Bones! Wow, you sure have the jetsetter life! You travel more than I do! I can't wait to meet you in December when you come to California. Love, your great Aunt Trish xoxo
